Terms of Service

FileForge is a self-hosted file conversion service operated by AldrickB (aldrickb.com). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.

1. The service

FileForge converts files you upload between formats (images, audio, video, documents, archives) and stores the resulting files for a limited time. Free accounts are limited to a small number of conversions per day; Forge Pro removes those limits and extends retention. The exact limits are listed on the dashboard.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to upload content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours, that infringes copyright, or that contains malware. Every upload is scanned; suspected malware is quarantined and deleted, and we may suspend accounts that repeatedly trigger detections.

3. Data retention

Free-tier files (inputs and outputs) are deleted automatically 24 hours after upload or generation. Pro-tier files are kept for 7 days. You can delete any file from your history at any time, which removes it immediately from our storage.

4. Privacy

We collect the email address you sign up with and metadata about your conversions (formats, sizes, timestamps). We do not sell or share that data. A separate Privacy Policy will be published before any non-trivial public launch.

5. No warranty

The service is provided as-is. We make no guarantees about uptime, conversion fidelity, or fitness for any particular purpose. Don't use FileForge as your only copy of a file.

6. Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced on the dashboard and by email.
